All kinds of boxes were made and posing stands located, etc.

If everyone wasn't so tall it would work well, keeping that in mind, I sort of chose a balance between the Idealistic and the Fashion, otherwise the Idealistic is Munchkin for most of my SL experience. Wonderful fun and a very lucid explanation, well done!pepyshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07462555368308893838noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7167300194475558566.post-5864574920184078822012-11-25T20:08:11.321-08:002012-11-25T20:08:11.321-08:00No, you're right. Not sure why I wrote the bottom of the crotch.

Anyways, thanks for pointing it out, I've corrected the wording in the paragraph.

I'm glad the articles help! I want to eventually sit down and write up some more. I've got a lot of things to say about the use of sound, lighting, and plenty of general content creator tips I'd love to share. I'm just so busy outside of SL these days it's difficult to find the time!

Penny Pattonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07707742298693174730noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7167300194475558566.post-55458542809054482842012-11-20T22:58:24.962-08:002012-11-20T22:58:24.962-08:00Firstly, thank you so much for this, I've been...Firstly, thank you so much for this, I've been sharing it around SL as much as I can. There is one tiny detail I'm a little confused about though, in the article you say "The very bottom of your avatar's crotch should be about the middle point in your body if you are aiming for 'ideal' proportions" but according to the diagrams, if I'm not mistaken, the actual ideal midpoint is slightly above the bottom of the crotch, is it not? I'm not artist, so maybe I'm reading it wrong, but that's how I understand it...

Either way, thanks. For this and all your other "A Matter of" articles.iNfeRnOhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04641853572607111189noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7167300194475558566.post-7098808847381205052012-09-21T11:58:38.870-07:002012-09-21T11:58:38.870-07:00Well I found this article about 3 years too late.....Well I found this article about 3 years too late...lol. I intend to do a couple follow-up articles in the near future explaining how to achieve different body types by using proportion and plan to link to those as good starting points. After all, it's far easier to create a good shape when you start from a good shape. That's a part of why LL's starter avatars are so problematic. They make it more difficult for SL users to create good shapes when they start from shapes provided with the starter avatars.Penny Pattonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07707742298693174730noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7167300194475558566.post-45548242435972401072012-01-22T05:20:37.754-08:002012-01-22T05:20:37.754-08:00Great article, Penny.
